Web Development/Graphics Position
Pondside Digital Media Inc is currently looking for an exceptional individual to fill a Web Development/Graphics position as part of a team working in a friendly and relaxed environment.
Successful applicants will be capable of designing Web sites, including graphics, from start to finish; must have working experience with HTML source code and preferably Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and programming.
The likely candidate will be a creative individual who has gone beyond creating the graphical components of a Web site and has learned to integrate the look into a site design.

- Macromedia Studio 8
- Adobe Photoshop CS 2
- CorelDraw 8
- Adobe Acrobat
- Audacity
The successful applicant will initally need his/her own transportation as the workplace is located in the southeast corner of Strathcona County.
Demonstrated Competencies:
- HTML creation and editing from source code
- Creative Web site graphics portfolio
- Creation/manipulation of CSS
- Basic Javascript knowledge
- Good researching ability
Highly Regarded Assets:
- Good CSS knowledge
- Flash creation, conversion and manipulation
- Programming ability - as it relates to Web (Javascript, ASP, PHP)
- Knowledge of database integration and management
- Knowledge of computer hardware and networking

Primary Focus:
- High quality Web site development (including graphics, layout and design) and site maintenance.
Secondary Focus:
- Data entry for site maintenance
- Research of technologies and solutions to enhance or maximize Web delivery and office solutions.
Primary Tasks:
- Create visually appealing graphical interfaces and modify images for the best Web experience using available tool kit
- Design Web sites with proper navigation and layout to ensure accessibility, manageability and scaleability
- Write HTML in accordance to W3C standards to develop sites with the most browser compatiblity
- Research new technologies to maximize potential for good Web representation and other related customer benefits
Regarded Highly:
- Ability to write ASP and/or PHP
- Flash creation, conversion and manipulation
- Ability to edit audio/video files for podcast output
Secondary Focus:
- Data entry for site maintenance
- Research of technologies and solutions to enhance or maximize Web delivery and office solutions.
Secondary Tasks - Data Entry and Technology Research:
- Creating/Modifying content via a Content Management System (CMS)
- Possibly entering data for accounts
- Research of new technologies for company and clients' benefits
